Summer holidays are here and as parents, thinking of what to do to keep your kids occupied while they’re home on break can be daunting. Lucky for you, we've got you covered. 

Here is a curated listed of five fun easy activities you can create right at home. 

At Home Field Day: Create a fun field day right in your backyard with fun activities such as a bubble station, ring toss, and water balloon toss. For the bubble station all you will need is a kiddie pool, bubble solution made out of dish wash soap, some corn syrup and some water; finally, get some wands which can be made out of wire hangers or hula hoops and you are good to go.  The Ring Toss is just as easy to make too. All you will need are some small orange cones and some glow in the dark necklaces to act as rings. Lastly, a bucket of water balloons are all you need to make the balloon toss. The fun part about this game is that it is played in pairs so parents can be paired with kids for a fun competition. Backyard Slip N’ Slide: For an exciting activity that is sure to bring out lots of laughter and joy, try creating your own Slip N’ Slide using plastic sheets coated with baby shampoo. This is simple to make and is sure to bring out the best in all children who dare to attempt the slide. Slime Competition: For something a little more competitive, a slime making competition will be great one to try. All you will need is some white school glue, saline solution, baking soda and food coloring. Line up the kids and give them instructions on how to make the slime and see who comes out with the most interesting mix. Sleepaway Camp at Home: Parents looking to keep children safely at home while we all try to socially distance can recreate a Summer Camp at home for their kids. Incorporate some home field day activities mentioned above to tire everyone out for the day. Include some arts and crafts such as Nature Photography or some painting activities. At night, a talent show, or Improv show would give the camp experience and make them feel as though they never missed out on anything even though they are right at home.
